Recently I edited and translated John Buridan’s Long Questions on the “Peri Hermeneias”, along with relevant passages in his Questions on the Metaphysics of Aristotle (QM). The book is under contract with Fordham University Press, and should come out in 2026.

This passage includes a surprisingly direct answer to G.E Hughes’s (1989) question, what are Buridan’s possible horses? I examine this, in relation to possible worlds, in an article in Dialectica [link]

I am currently translating Buridan’s Questions on the “Sophistical Refutations”. I expect to be done by Q2 2027.

I cut my teeth on texts of by Francis Mayrone (ca.1280-1328); here’s an edition and translation of Mayrone’s “Sermo de Angelis” [link], based on a text I prepared back in my salad days at the University of Calgary. I have revised it since.
